The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires PledgeManager to make the following changes to its platform and internal privacy program:
PledgeManager has been preparing for the GDPR in the following ways:
We've re-organized our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, as well as separating specific Usage Agreements for Backers and Project Creators and adding "What does this mean" sections to make the language more clear and understandable. This reorganization hasn’t changed your rights as a user, we’ve just made it easier to understand these rights. We’ve provided additional details about the information we collect and how we use that information. We’ve also explained your choices and the control you have over your information.
As international data privacy standards evolve, particularly in the EU with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we’ve updated our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to give you more control over your data and make it more clear how we use your data. All users, not just those in the EU, will have the same data privacy rights.
We hope these efforts help you both understand the changes we've made, and help make them more understandable. We hope you enjoy your experience with PledgeManager and we hope to see you often!
Except as so provided, PledgeManager reserves the right to modify this policy and any element thereof. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this policy periodically and become aware of modifications. Your use of the Services following any modification to this policy shall be deemed to be your assent to any such modifications.
